Physical Therapy

I'm excited and nervous. Tomorrow I will be heading to my first physical therapy appointment for my leg. I'm not sure what to expect. I've never been to any sort of physical therapy. I am looking forward to it though. Just another step in the direction of recovery.I don't really have much to say. Mostly was wanting to get out some nerves so I thought I'd post, but wouldn't you know it I'm drawing a blank........Well, I have been practicing the ukulele more. I'm slowly improving. I want very badly 2 grow in my ability to play. I am challenged & hope that this can teach me discipline. I know that in order for me to get better I have to practice. I know that my motivation for practicing will be that I will get to a point where I can play songs and enjoy being a musician with it. At the moment it is a fifty-fifty between being fun and being terribly nerve racking. I suppose its the fact that I'm clueless. I don't know where to start. It's a …

Lately I have been doing a lot more reading. Since things have started improving with my leg and mobility, I find that my attention span is more accommodating to a new book at night (my favored reading time). I spent so much time trying to sleep away the pain while I was 'down and out'. I just couldn't compute ANYTHING while hurting. I am finally active again, but find myself craving a good read! Isn't it typical? I had all the time in the world to read and didn't. Now that I am on the move I wish I could sit still for a bit. Haha.In Sunday School today Keith challenged me (the class too of course) to not just read chapters and chapters of the Word, but to study it. I am going to try this.  Commentaries are so helpful. Have any favorites? Jonathan uses Haley's Bible Handbook. That being said, I feel a sense of urgency to not only delve into a great series during my free time, but to dig deep into God's Word. Have any books you suggest I read?I have also sta…

I am 32.

Just had a pretty RAD birthday! My mom really wanted me to open this yesterday. So I did. 1 day before my birthday. She also really wanted a picture of me.The result is GOLD! If you know me at all you well see that a KITCHEN AID is HANDS DOWN the most epic gift on my wishlist. I was flabbergasted. After 10 years I can cross it off my list. I HAVE one!!!! Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! I actually sat and hugged the box for a long while. Lol. Hubby embraces my need to express my nerdy side. He gave me then Collectors Edition of Into Darkness with a USS Vengeance!! Why hello Benjamin Cumberbatch. Joe nicknamed me Pepper. Therefore this card will have sentimental value FOREVER! :)  Tonight at church Bekah (my bff here in WV) BLESSED my socks off with roses, a balloon and cupcakes! She is wonderful! I can't begin to explain how she has been such a faithful friend. She is so great! We don't take enough pics together. :)

My greatest gifts are my babies. I love them both!! I am thankful. Jonatha…

2 years ago I had Allee. By this time she was about 12 hours old. My mind was blown that I was a mom of 2 children! Elena had been an only child for 5 1/2 years and adjusting to having another child was hard for me to wrap my brain around. In my blog about my pregnancy you can see the Birth Story is you're curious. (just click on the link) Anyway, HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY to my wonderful and strong willed nugget. You are affectionately know as Pookie, Shermy, Allistor, Cachetes and P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. Yep. We also have some friends who gave her the name Hangry Klingorc Trollgado To be perfectly honest it is VERY fitting. She tends to be cranky. I loved you the moment I saw you. NOW YOU ARE 2!!! I can hardly believe it! :)

About a month ago I started feeling pain in my left leg. At first it felt like sciatic pain and a few days later I had some soreness in my hamstring that brought me to believe I pulled a muscle. It carried on back and forth like this until last Sunday morning. When I awoke I couldn't move. The pain in my leg was so intense that I was unable to walk on it. My mother insisted we go to an urgent care. After an X ray we went home being told that I had a pinched nerve. Since I have had a pinched nerve before I found it hard to believe that this was really all that is going on, but opted to not question it. 9 days later I still have leg pain and difficulty walking. For a few days I would have horrible pain and have depended on my hubby and mom to help me move around. Rewind to day 5 of this awful time of pain. I finally felt a bit or relief and decided I would reward myself with some pampering. The plan was a shower and a face mask while reading a book. My plans came to a screeching hal…
