Top 5 Places I'd Like To Visit

This week I will be talking about the Top 5 Places I'd Like To Visit.
This is a tough one!
Overwater Bungalow at the AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort in Malaysa

Harry Potter: The Exhibition How amazing would this be?! I mean... I'd definitely love every second. I would want to enter at opening hours and stay till closing time. Someone would have to drag me out.

Chelsea Market
My dream is that I'd live in Soho and shop in Chelsea Market. I'd work at Food Network and just have the best time. Lol.

Gondola Ride through Venice

Come on. You can't tell me that wouldn't be amazing! I just think it would be gorgeous. If I did decide however to go somewhere a little more remote I'd go to the Netherlands.

Worlds Longest Zipline in Costa Rica
(Sorry about all the screaming. Just turn your mic down)
This seems like it would be so amazing to experience!!!
What are your 5 places? Let me know in the comments!
These really took a long time to decide on. I think the only easy ones were Ch…

Meet My Family

It's Week 3 of my 52 Week Blog Challenge!
This week I am introducing you to my family.
Let's get started.
This is my husband Jonathan.

He is funny, kind, hardworking, an exeptional husband and father. He is also a wonderful spiritual leader. I am grateful for him everyday.

Elena is much like Jonathan in personality. Funny, silly, perpetually happy, compassionate and smart. She has wonderful grades in school and is an avid reader. She turned 9 this week. I can hardly believe it.

Allee is 3 1/2. She is wild, spirited, funny and very often a cranky pants. We are glad to see that she is leaving the "tantrum phase" behind. It's been going strong for almost a year now. Oh golly. It's been an interesting time for us all.
My Mom:

Mom moved in with us in February of 2014 after my dad passed away. She is sweet, very giving and loves being a grandma. We are a lot alike. It's not always tea and roses, but we are a pretty great fit. Haha! Amazing how you beco…

Whole 30 is not for the weak. Lol.

So.... as much as I want to continue Whole30 I just can't until after we get back from vacation. We leave Friday. While I think I would eat all of the of my purchased foods, I can't leave a bunch of leftovers behind while I am out of town for a week.
Just don't want to waste the $$.  I will adress this topic in my Whole 30 Review post!
Anyway, I am eating as normally as I can without my tummy freaking out on me.  By the way, my tummy MAJORLY hates when I eat dairy. I have had it two or 3 times and each time it's AWFUL!

So yeah.... stay away!
I am going to post about my overall impression of Whole30, but it really made an impact on me!

I will start my 3 week Whole30 reset on the 28th when I get back from vacay.

My Favorite Things

This weeks 52 Week Challenge post is 'My Favorite Things'.
Now, we're talking about 'things' right? NOT people or places?
Yes. That's right.
I totally just had that conversation with myself.
Yes. It's normal.
Ok. Glad we got that covered.
Here is my list:
Coffee (Coffee Mugs)

I am Cuban. If there is anything you should know about Cubans is that we love our CafĂ©.
I am much like every other member in my family. I have been in love with coffee since childhood. My earlist memory is of me being kneehigh to my grandmother, tottering over to her and begging for coffee. She then took my pacifier and dipped it into her espresso. BEST MEMORY EVER.
I am sure some are appalled that I consumed coffee at such a young age, but it's very cultural for Latinos. So yeah, aside from the occasion twitch I am just fine. J/K
So... ever need to get me a gift? You will ALWAYS be safe with a bag of STRONG dark roast coffee beans or a fun mug. Easy Peasy!

Whole 30 Day 31

Today was definitely a lot easier. I was able to keep myself motivated enough to eat healthy as well as take pictures at each meal. I don't know what it is about the last few days of not wanting to take pictures.
Perhaps it's the monotony of the task?

I don't know.
Anyway, 6 days left!! Looking forward to it all being over. I go on vacation and then when I come back I'll do another Whole30 Reset for 3 weeks before starting my 90/10 Paleo.

Looking forward to it!

Breakfast: Banana, Avocado, Egg Muffins Lunch: Chorizo (gave me HORRID heartburn), Guac & Pineapple Dinner: White Sweet Potato Fries & Sauce
Ok. See ya tomorrow!

Whole30 Day 30

It feels as though I've lost a little bit of my momentum. I didn't take any pictures today food was simply because I was unmotivated and didn't really feel like eating healthy.
Of course it did it anyway, but the feeling to eat badly was definitely hard to escape. I was more tempted today than I have been in a while. I wanted to eat everything!
I actually picked up a donut and threw it back down before realizing what I was doing. This is kind of thing that I didn't expect to be struggling with after 30 days of Whole30. While my skin, hair and energy levels are better. I do think that I have to continue this life style to really read and see apparent benefits. I don't know if I've lost weight because I decided to add an extra week to my Whole30 program. While today would have been my last day I actually have another seven days to go. It's going to be really hard.
I feel if I can get through the next 7 days & be Paleo that I will see success in improving …

Whole30 days 28 & 29

I just didn't feel really motivated on the two days after Mother's Day.
Let's call it a Mother's Day Hangover.
No. Not the alcoholic kind.
I mean the day after not cleaning up the house because it's Mother's Day only to wake up with regret. Lol.

Yup. My house is in need to a maid.
Oh wait! That's me.
Anyway, let's get back to Whole30.
Days 28 & 29 were good. Do I remember what I ate? No. It's ok though. I am still on track.
See you all tomorrow!

Whole 30 Day 28 (Mother's Day)

I decided after breakfast that I wasn't photographing my food for the day. Just wanted to take a break.
It's been nice. I tried a bite of something with BBQ sauce on it today and it tasted CRAZY sweet. Ugh. I have definitely gotten used to a healthier diet. Well, at least my palate has.
Otherwise, I have stayed the Whole30 course. It was all good stuff. I grilled burgers and uncured hotdogs for my family. We enjoyed a yummy "Burger & Hotdog Bar". Had plenty of goodies to go all over everything. Ate my burger and hotdog on lettuce. It was delish. Also cut into a watermelon and pineapple. What wonderful sweet goodness!!
Yep. Mother's Day was great!

Whole 30 Day 27

Breakfast: Larabar & Mixed Nuts (I was on the go) Lunch: Edible Arrangement I got for an early Mother's Day. I didn't bother touching the chocolate ones. Dinner: Kale Chips! Using the kale from my Edible Arrangement.
It was a lovely day!

Whole30 Day 26

Breakfast: Potato Frittata, Banana, Sweet Pepper Chicken Sausage Lunch: Sweet Pepper & Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage & Stone Ground Mustard Dinner: Avocado Egg Salad
It was a good day. I need to eat more veggies. My day was busy enough to where it just wasn't as doable, but still need to get it in. Water too. I barely drank any.
Yeah... tomorrows a new day! 10 days of my Whole30 (plus 1 week) left!
