In 2 days we fly out to Costa Rica to spend some time with family for a couple of weeks. We haven't seen this side of Hubby's family since our wedding almost 12 years ago! It's long overdue!
Oh my word! I am excited! Mostly nervous though!
Not really sure how the travel itself will go with a 10 year old (on May 18th) and a 4 year old. The girls have been on airplanes before, but never on such a long trip. I worry. How will we manage? Any useful ideas?
I guess it's off to Pinterest and Google for me. I even ventured a post on Facebook for advice. (ugh) I know I'll find some good ideas online.
I hope my future post about "how our trip went" is a positive one. I just dread my youngest having a meltdown on the plane or something. Especially if we have long layovers which is unfortunately likely.
On the bright side;
We will stay with family for 2 weeks, but at some point in there we will spend 2 or 3 nights in a beautiful Lodge by a volcano!!
I wasn't as excited about the trip before learning this, but now I am!!!
The Catarata Eco Lodge is located near the Arenal Volcano National Park! We will actually get to hang out with a family member who works as a travel agent in Costa Rica. He will spend a couple of days with us. It'll be awesome to tour the area and experience some new sights!!
On the other bright side;
This is my FIRST trip outside of the U.S. I am happy that I finally have a passport and will now get to travel a bit. It's not likely to be soon, but I can now plan out a trip to Spain! I asked Hubby about Granada and he seemed interested!
Maybe we can try something around our 20th anniversary. I know that's 8 years away, but how magical would it be to sip some wine and enjoy a Tapa or two with my man in my dream spot in Plaza Nueva?!
Ok. My mind is getting away from me. I need to live in the NOW. Costa Rica!
(Alright, this meme doesn't make sense here. I only added it because it's a cat!)
Hoping it's a great trip!
Well, that's all for today! I have a lot of preparing to do for this trip! Better finish up the last bits of packing for 4 people!
See you in my post next Saturday!
